Ukrainians took to the polls last week to answer an important question: would you rather your children learn online or in-school? While seemingly innocuous, the question was posed as the country faces unprecedented destruction going into the sixth month of Russia's invasion.

Looking at the results of the poll, Ukrainians are evidently hesitant to send their children to schools, perhaps notably as over 2061 have been damaged and 261 have been destroyed by Russian attacks since the war escalated in February of this year.

While some schools have bunkers or similar spaces where children and staff can be brought to in the event of rair raids, attacks, or potential danger, many don't, which may be one of the reasons Ukrainians are hesitant to return to in-person learning as school begins back this fall.

На минулому тижні українці взяли участь в опитуванні на тему, як би вони хотіли щоб навчались їх діти: онлайн чи офлайн? Це здавалося б не складним звичайним питанням, але це опитування було зроблене, тому що країна живе вже 6 місяців у стані війни і постійних руйнувань, через російське вторгнення.

Судячи з результатів опитування, більшість батьків не вагаються пускати своїх дітей у школи. Однією з причиною може бути те, що з лютого місяця цього року 2061 закладів освіти було пошкоджено, а 261 було повністю зруйновано.

Ще однією важливою причиною може бути те, що більшість шкіл не мають бункерів чи спеціальних приміщень, де, у разі повітряної тривоги, могли б сховатись учні та вчителі.
