Four rockets were fired from the planes into the village, two of them hit residential buildings. As a result of the attack, buildings were destroyed, 11 people were killed and 14 more were wounded. The employees of the Chernihiv region State Emergency Service told "Suspіlne".
Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, appealed to local residents "This shelling shows that the war has not left the Chernihiv region."
The military from the operational command "North" showed pictures of the site where one of the missiles exploded. It hit the territory of an AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine) training center. A huge crater was formed on the beachhead, in the building itself the glass in the windows and the doors were blown out by the blast wave.
Earlier, the Ukrainian military reported that the Russian army resumed shelling of villages in the Chernihiv region on the border with Russia.

Армия РФ нанесла ракетный удар по поселку Десна ранним утром 17 мая.
По населенному пункту из самолетов были выпущены 4 ракеты, две из них попали в жилые дома. В результате атаки здания разрушены, погибли 11 человек, еще 14 получили ранения. Об этом в комментарии изданию «Суспільне» рассказали сотрудники ГСЧС Черниговской области.
«Этот обстрел говорит о том, что война не ушла из Черниговской области», - обратился к местным жителям глава Черниговской ОВА Вячеслав Чаус.
Военные из оперативного командования «Север» показали фотографии с места взрыва одной из ракет. Она попала на территорию учебного центра ВСУ. На плацдарме образовалась огромная воронка, в самом здании взрывной волной выбиты стекла и двери.
Ранее украинские военные сообщали, что армия РФ возобновила обстрелы сел Черниговской области на границе с Россией.
